HDX Gauges From Dakota Digital Solve Many Headaches!

Uncategorized January 5, 2018

If you’re in the market for some head-turning instrumentation with a ton of options and have a specific application in mind, Dakota Digital has got you covered with their new HDX line of gauges and clusters. The amount of customization available in this product will allow the user to tailor the instruments to any car. Our friends at Classic Trucks magazine used the HDX system on their Week to Wicked C10 build a while back and it came out great.

The HDX line comes in either a black or silver alloy gauge face with the color of the readings, needles, and the TFT center displays open for the user to choose. Color settings and calibration can be handled with the capacitive-touch buttons or a Bluetooth app available on the App Store and Google Play.

Like every modern vehicle, this instrument system features all of the indicators you’d expect including turn-signals, high beams, check engine, cruise control engaged, and parking brake. The user can set a red warning light for each gauge, which also comes with an optional buzzer to notify the driver of a problem with the vehicle. The buzzer can be timed through button presses too; it’s similar to setting up a new phone. What we like most of all is that the HDX system takes the guesswork and tangled mess of wiring out of installing new gauges in a project.

The solid state sending units are weather-tight to keep the system working properly; these  have a separate control box to make servicing a lot easier. The HDX series starts at $1,295 MSRP. You can reach out directly to Dakota Digital at 800-852-3228.
